About Suplementos

Our supplement shelf

A family natural foods store since 1960: we don't sell what we won't eat. Our supplement shelf is built around simple, single-ingredient and familiar formulas, so you can compare strengths, counts and forms side by side. Country Life Natural Foods is a family-run store in Pullman, Michigan. We are not the supplement brand Country Life Vitamins.

Read each product's Supplement Facts panel and label before you buy, and talk with your healthcare provider about whether a supplement is right for you, especially if you're pregnant, nursing or take medication.

What you'll find

  • Minerals & electrolytes — magnesium citrate, glycinate, bisglycinate powder and L-threonate; Natural Vitality Calm powder and gummies; calcium; zinc; iron; selenium; colloidal trace minerals; and Redmond Re-Lyte electrolyte drink mix.

Frequently asked questions about Suplementos

Is Country Life Natural Foods the same as Country Life Vitamins?

No. Country Life Natural Foods is a family-run natural foods store in Pullman, Michigan, selling whole foods and natural products since 1960. Country Life Vitamins is a separate supplement company based in New York, and we don't sell its products, such as Aller-Max or Bone Solid. Our supplements come mainly from NOW Foods, plus Doctor's Blend, Natural Vitality and Redmond.

What supplement brands do you carry?

Most of our supplements are from NOW Foods, about 140 of the 179 on this page, covering vitamins, minerals, herbs, probiotics, oils and protein powders. We also carry Doctor's Blend drink mixes and capsule formulas, Natural Vitality Calm magnesium powder and gummies, Redmond Re-Lyte electrolyte drink mix, CharcoalHouse activated charcoal and Stakich bee pollen granules. Don't see a brand you use? Email hello@countrylifefoods.com.

How much is Cardio 911?

Cardio 911 by Doctor's Blend is $40.95 for a 30-serving container. It's a powdered drink mix made with L-arginine, vitamins and minerals, and it comes in Lemon Lime, Tropical Mango, Cherry, Berry and Grape. Mix it with water and follow the label directions. If you take medication or have a health condition, check with your healthcare provider before starting it.

Do you sell electrolyte drink mixes?

Yes. We carry Redmond Re-Lyte Electrolyte Drink Mix in 15-count stick packs, in Lemon Lime, Mixed Berry and Strawberry Lemonade. It's made by Redmond, the same Utah company behind the Redmond Real Salt we sell in our Herbs & Spices collection.

What forms do your supplements come in?

All of them. You'll find vegetarian capsules, tablets, softgels, lozenges, chewables and gummies, plus powders, liquids and single-serve drink mixes. Many products come in more than one form, such as vitamin D-3 as softgels, chewables or liquid. If you fill your own capsules, we also stock empty veg capsules in "O" and "00" sizes.

Do you have vegan or gluten-free supplements?

Yes. Dozens of the supplements here are vegan or gluten-free, including NOW magnesium glycinate, sunflower lecithin, Probiotic-10, ashwagandha, MK-7 vitamin K-2 and NOW organic plant protein. Use the Dietary filter on this page to narrow the list. "Veg capsule" describes the capsule shell, not every ingredient inside, so always check the product label for allergen and sourcing details.

Are dietary supplements FDA approved?

No. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements or their labels before they're sold. Under federal law, manufacturers are responsible for making sure their products are safe and accurately labeled, and the FDA can act against unsafe products once they're on the market. That's why it pays to read labels carefully and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting a new supplement.

How should I store supplements?

Keep bottles tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. A steamy bathroom or a spot next to the stove isn't ideal, because heat and humidity break supplements down faster. Refrigerate only if the label says to, as some probiotics and liquids require. Keep supplements out of reach of children, and follow any storage directions printed on the label.
