Frequently Asked Questions
What is in the Classic Scramble Seasoning?
It is a blend of nutritional yeast, Himalayan black salt and organic spices.
Why does it taste like eggs?
Himalayan black salt, also called kala namak, has a natural sulfur aroma that is reminiscent of eggs, which gives a tofu scramble its familiar flavor.
How do I use it?
Crumble tofu into a pan, sprinkle on the seasoning and cook until heated through. It also works in breakfast burritos, savory bowls, soy curls, vegetables and grains.
Is it gluten-free and vegan?
Yes. It is gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO. A 1 teaspoon serving has 10 calories and 190 mg sodium, and the 7 oz bag is hand-packed by Country Life Natural Foods.
