I cook these for breakfast 1 cup oats to 2 cups water. cook 15 minutes stirring. Powerful breakfast. You can also eat them uncooked in a bowl with almond milk or soy milk. It will challenge your chewing skills, but it's perfect when watching a ballgame or movie and you want something slow to eat that will last the whole program. These oats also remove cholesterol from your arteries. I highly recommend organic steel cut oats from Country Life.

I love the Country Life Steel Cut Oats. I eat them every morning with almond milk. They are very satisfying and creamy and give me enough fuel for a good part of the day. I have recently learned too, that my dogs love them. I had made a little too much and split the little bit left over between my two Alaskan Malamutes. They ate it right up. I was so surprised. Now I make enough every morning to give them a little bit each. Don't judge me. :-)

This was the first time that I tried oat groats. Didn’t even know that there was such a thing. I did have to look up how to cook it. Recommend a small direction sticker be attacked to package. I really like this for morning breakfast. Since it takes 30 min to cook, I decided to cook it the day before and store it in the refrigerator. When I was growing up on the farm, I use to eat the oats we fed the animals. Probably had some protein from the bugs included with the oats. 😁 This reminds me of those times.
