What's a good organic egg substitute?

Organic flaxseed meal is the simplest. We carry Bob's Red Mill organic brown and golden flaxseed meal in 16 oz bags, and mixed with water it stands in for eggs in many baked goods. How do I make a flax egg?

Mix 1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal with 3 tablespoons of warm water, stir, and let it sit for a few minutes until it thickens. Use it in place of one egg in recipes like muffins, pancakes, cookies and quick breads. Golden flax keeps light-colored bakes looking lighter, while brown flax adds visible flecks. How do you use Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacer?

Mix the powder with water and use it in place of eggs in most recipes, from brownies and quick breads to pancakes. Each 12 oz bag replaces 34 eggs. Are your egg substitutes vegan and gluten-free?

They're all plant-based. Both Bob's Red Mill flaxseed meals are labeled vegan and gluten-free, Mori-Nu tofu is labeled vegan and certified gluten-free, and Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacer is labeled gluten-free. Our own tofu scramble seasonings are vegan but aren't certified gluten-free, and they're packed in a facility that also handles wheat, so check the labels if you need to avoid gluten strictly.
