Cream of Wheat is a type of breakfast porridge mix made from wheat semolina. It looks similar to grits but is smoother in texture since it is made with ground wheat kernels instead of ground corn.
For a wholesome breakfast cereal combine 1 part of dry cream of wheat to 4 parts of water or non-dairy milk, add salt to taste and simmer on very low heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes or until thickened. Enjoy with a little honey or maple syrup and some colorful fresh fruit.
