100% pure Indian kala namak, commonly called Himalayan Black Salt, comes from the regions surrounding the Himalayas and has a distinctive umami-like flavor similar to hard boiled eggs due to its trace amounts of sulfur compounds. Himalayan black salt tends to naturally have less sodium than common salt.
Black salt contains several minerals, including iron, as well as potassium which is crucial in regulating muscle functioning and helping to absorb other minerals.
