The carob tree, or Ceratonia siliqua, has fruit that looks like a dark brown pea pod, which carries pulp and seeds. Carob is a sweet and healthy substitute for chocolate. Using it for health benefits goes back 4,000 years to ancient Greece. The sugar-sweetened carob chips are delectably sweet and make for a great replacement in any dish or recipe that calls for semi-sweet to milk chocolate!

Excellent Service

Practically lived on chocolate for 30 yrs when I became allergic to it. Then about 35 yrs later found carob powder and made a recipe for brownies. A neighborhood told me about the chip and gave me some about a yr ago. I went on line looking for more and found your page.

Carob Chips

My hubby loves my carob chip cookies. I have been getting the chips from Country Life for decades now. They are always the best quality and taste. Don't wait to order them in the summer - or they can't ship them - or you will have melted chips!!! I keep them in the freezer until I use them. They are also just a good little snack to add to some nice organic nuts.

Best carob chips

These carob chips are so good. We eat them by the hand full. Add them to cream of wheat for a special treat. The packaging is well done. We can not find carob chips in the stores so it is so nice to finally get some sent right to our door.

Great Carob chips!

These are by far the best! I love them for cookies and then add a bit of white almond bark and a tablespoon of vegetable oil and melt for my dipping chocolate. Love it!

Second choice but happy for them

My first choice is barley malt sweetened non hydrogenated carob chips. Why do you not carry those any longer?
I'm thankful to find at least the sweetened hydrogenated as desperate replacement for chocolate and hope to be able to get ahold of them as my second choice until I find the barley malt sweetened.

Great taste and sub for cocoa!

This was my first time tasting sweetened carob chips and as a former chocolate lover, I second that this is a great substitute for chocolate/cacoa. I will even goes as far as saying it has a smoother taste compared to chocolate.

I'm really impressed with carob and will keep this in my stash as I love chocolate but is diligently avoiding all forms of caffeine.

I made a vegan Biscoff cookie/chocolate cake for my family reunion this past weekend and I added carob powder and carob sweetened chip in place of the cocoa layer and it was a hit! I noticed I didn't have heart burn after eating it and my right eye lid did not twitch either.

Next time I bake with it I will upload a picture of.

Carob chips arrived in perfect
condition. I will miss the barley malt
sweetened Carob chips, but they are no longer available. Such a disappointment, but nothing can be done about that, so I will be happy with what I have!
