Almonds have often been called "the king of nuts." With a more neutral taste, they can be used in recipes, eaten raw or roasted. They are high in protein and unsaturated fat and, like all almonds from California, they are pasteurized. To roast almonds at home, simply spread raw almonds on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes.
