Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
  • ½ cup unsweetened carob chips
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

2 - 5 lb Carob chips

I live in a very humid and warm part of the U.S. These were packaged to sustain the trip to me. They made it wonderfully, They are a lot darker than I expected from the light brown color. But as long as they taste the same who cares.

The secret to get Carob chips or powder to taste like rich chocolate in the Dandelion Root tea bags. 1 - for small batch 2 - for double batch.

If recipe call for water, heat a cup of water and pour over bag/s and let steep for 10 mins. then squeeze out all that dark rich flavor as possible. If the recipe calls for milk (plant based), pour a cup into a small pot and heat until you see steam flowing softly, check to see if the milk is hot but not to the point of scorching. Repeat the directions above.
I can't wait to order the 25 lb bag when it gets cold enough for them to make it to me.

Can't have chocolate right now due to a heart issue, so the carob really satisfies my chocolate craving. Product arrived by USPS and was securely packaged. Great as a chocolate alternative

I'm a professional pet caretaker and dog walker. I like to make treats for my furry clients at holiday time. I saw how this can be melted to make candy. Dogs can't eat chocolate due to theobromine being toxic. But, dogs can eat this mixed with some peanut butter and have their own treats! I tried to give just the chips to the dogs, and they don't like it. But, mixed with peanut butter, and it's a hit!

I like the treats myself. Carob has more nutrients than chocolate, and it's nice to try something different. Carob reminds me of coffee and chocolate mixed. It's a bit bitter, but mixed with sweetness or something similar, and it works just as good as chocolate!
